How to Use the Online To Do List

  1. Create a list. Click "New List" in the sidebar and give it a name like Today, Work, or Groceries. You can create as many lists as you need.
  2. Add tasks. Type a task in the input at the top of the list and press Enter. Optionally set a due date and time so you don't forget.
  3. Stay on track. Drag tasks to reorder by priority, tick the checkbox when done, and enable browser notifications to get reminders when tasks come due.
  4. Back up your data. Use Export in the sidebar to download a JSON backup of every list, and Import to restore it later or move lists to another browser.

Is my data safe in this private, browser-based todo list?

How do I create multiple todo lists?

Click the "New List" button in the sidebar to create as many lists as you need. Each list has its own tasks with independent due dates and completion status. Switch between lists by clicking their name in the sidebar.

How do reminders work in this todo list?

When you set a due date and time on a task, you can enable browser notifications to get a reminder. Your browser will ask for notification permission the first time. Reminders fire even if you are on a different tab, as long as the page is open.

Can I export or back up my todo lists?

Yes. Click the Export button in the sidebar to download all your lists and tasks as a JSON file. To restore from a backup, use the Import button and select your saved file. This is recommended before clearing browser data.

Are my tasks saved automatically?

Yes. Every change is autosaved to your browser's local storage the moment you make it. There's no save button to press. Close the tab, reboot your computer, or come back next week, and your lists will be exactly where you left them.
